Green transport is for a better future. On 2 March 2024, the New Energy Bus Experience Day was organized and held by the Environmental Campaign Committee, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) at CIC-ZCP in Kowloon Bay. It was composed of carnival booths with games, exhibitions, and workshops, and the highlight of this event was free rides on battery electric buses and a hydrogen fuel cell bus. Aiming to promote green transport as a main approach to reducing carbon emissions, the event has provided a chance for visitors to experience and witness such benefits, whilst paving the way for carbon neutrality.

- New GMB route 24 commenced on 3 March 2024, running a circular route between Fu Tip Estate and Kwong Fuk Road, Tai Po.

- On that same day, Sun Ferry's latest vessel, MV Xin Ming Zhu II, was put into service in the Central to Cheung Chau route. This vessel is funded for purchase under the Government Subsidy Programme.
- KMB electric double-decker buses were introduced into Cross-Harbour bus route 112 starting on 4 March 2024, marking the first time for such buses to operate on Hong Kong Island.
